Past trustee of the University of Maryland, College Park, the Hippodrome Foundation, and the Calvert School. Past chairman of the board of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and the Empower Baltimore Management Corporation. Currently a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Maryland Association of Defense Trial Counsel, and a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.  He is a recipient of The Daily Record's "Leadership in Law Award" and listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Business Litigation and Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. Mr. Shea received his bachelor's degree from Princeton University in 1974 and J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1977.
