A life-long family farmer and grain grower on the Lower Eastern Shore. Current director of the Maryland Center for Agro-Ecology and the American Corn Growers Association. Chairman of the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Board of Review; president of the Snow Hill Grain Co-Op; member and former president of the Worcester County Farm Bureau; and member of the Worcester County Farmland Preservation Committee. Richardson previously served as a member of the Maryland Farm Service Agency; Maryland Agriculture Stabilization Committee; the Worcester County Soil Conservation District; the Agricultural Stewardship Commission, 2006; and vice-president and president of the Worcester County Board of Education.
