Contributions to the University System of Maryland and our affiliated campus foundations represent tangible investments in the future of higher education. Every year, thousands of alumni and friends support our campuses, research institutions, and regional higher education centers in Shady Grove and Hagerstown. Contributions support:

• Scholarships for talented and needy students
• Endowed chairs and professorships to recruit outstanding teachers and researchers
• Building funds for libraries, laboratories, athletic and performing arts facilities, and dormitories, as well as
• Community service and other programs that enhance the learning experiences for more than 120,000 students who attend our campuses each year.
