SUBJECT: State Employee Retirement Enhancement, HB 1737 and SB 1019

Dear Senator/Delegate:

As an employee of the USM-State of Maryland and a voter I urge you to support changes to the Employees Retirement System this session. The current Maryland retirement system is inadequate to the living needs of retired employees. Several bills have been introduced to help correct that issue, specifically HB 1737 by Delegate Mary Dulany James and SB1019 by Senator Kathy Klausmeier. I urge you to support these proposals during the current session.
